The Center conducts research and studies, offers advisory services, organizes events, and designs specialized executive training curricula related to local administration and other related fields, providing services to partners and clients through a professional and specialized team. Additionally, the Center administers the King Salman Prize for Arab Local Administration in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development and hosts special projects such as the digital map of the Saudi government.

As the first research center in the Kingdom specializing in local administration, the Center holds a prestigious position as the first non-profit research institution combining theory and practice, making it a key partner for decision-makers in setting goals. The concept of local administration, according to the Center’s perspective, involves the methods and mechanisms by which government agencies organize the management and development of regions, cities, governorates, villages, and deserts, as well as the management and development of decision-making processes and policies within these various local units.
